This is a Mongolian recurve bow, which was used in Mongolia in history. The difference between the Mongolian bow and Manchu bow is the string bridge and larger siyahs on Manchu bows. This Mongolian bow is simple and easy to shoot. No arrow rest on the riser makes it to fit both left and right handed archers, an ambidextrous bow. This modern Mongolian bow is made of wood and fiberglass sheets. The riser and siyahs are made of hard wood, and the limbs are made of fiberglass sheets. The riser is leather wrapped. Sometimes we strung the bow using a black cord to protect the bow shape during transportation. The black cord is not the real bowstring. You need to replace the black cord using the real bowstring we added.
